A man in Nebraska was arrested after an allegedly violent encounter in which he was accused of assaulting and holding his former girlfriend captive inside a residence.

The situation reportedly began a few weeks earlier when the man was released on bond following a separate case involving allegations of strangulation. Later that day, his ex-girlfriend went to his home to bring him a homemade meal. She said that when she arrived, he attacked her until she lost consciousness. When she woke up, she reportedly found herself in a different house that he owned. The two stayed there together for several hours, and he allegedly made alarming statements, including asking her to end his life, and reportedly threatened to kill them both.

Law enforcement received information indicating that the woman might need help, and officers, accompanied by SWAT members, went to the address provided by the caller. They forced their way into the residence and found the pair inside. When they spoke with the woman, she said the man had been trying to release natural gas into the home. Authorities reported that the gas was still present. The woman also alleged that the man struck her in the head with a glass bottle and attempted to strangle her again as law enforcement entered.

A North Dakota man is facing a felony after allegedly asking a customer at McDonald’s to purchase food for him and reportedly pulling out a gun when he was denied.

Just after noon on September 30, a man walking to a McDonald’s in Bismark was approached by a stranger who asked him to buy him a burger and a Happy Meal. The customer declined, told the man to “get a job,” and continued his journey to eat lunch at the Golden Arches.

While standing in line in the crowd of youngsters and adults, the man was waiting to order his meal when he was reportedly approached again by the person who previously asked him to buy the food for them. He allegedly pulled out a 9mm handgun and pointed it in the man’s direction. According to reports, the man holding the gun said he felt disrespected when he was told to get a job. He reportedly put the gun in the waistband of his pants while cursing at the man, and then left the establishment.
