When they tried to perform a traffic stop, Bush reportedly increased his speed to try to get away. Within minutes, the authorities were notified about an accident that happened nearby. The police went to the scene, and they identified Bush as the driver who caused the crash, which involved three other vehicles. They reported that Bush failed to stop at a red light, causing him to smash into three cars that were idle at the traffic signal. Before the authorities arrived, it was reported that Bush tried to run away from the area, but others at the scene forced him to stay.
