A Florida police officer was taken into custody and later charged with a felony after the authorities alleged he failed to disclose his HIV status to a woman who became pregnant during their relationship.
According to an arrest report, the case began after the woman contacted the authorities with concerns about her health following a series of conversations with the officer. Investigators said those concerns were heightened after another individual, who previously had a child with the officer, reached out and urged her to get tested. The report indicated that the individual had discovered medication among the officer’s belongings and became alarmed, though she did not initially explain the reason for her concern.
The woman and the officer had reportedly begun dating in October 2025. At the time, he was reportedly still living with the other mother, but claimed it was temporary and that they were no longer in a relationship.
