A 58-year-old kindergarten teacher in Wisconsin was placed on administrative leave after the authorities began investigating allegations of cocaine possession at an elementary school in New London.
It was reported that the investigation was opened after an individual contacted a school resource officer at Lincoln Elementary School to report concerns about the teacher’s behavior. The individual reportedly claimed that the teacher had recently been acting differently and appeared unfocused. The person also allegedly reported finding a white powdery substance on a bathroom counter inside the teacher’s classroom and said they saw used tissues with blood on them in a trash can.
According to the authorities, the school principal had previously been made aware of concerns about the teacher’s behavior. The principal reportedly indicated that the students were not believed to be at risk.
