Early in the morning on May 15, a couple reportedly became embroiled in an argument regarding fidelity in their relationship. The 26-year-old man, who worked at the city Office of Economic Opportunity and Inclusion, accused his 27-year-old girlfriend of cheating on him with his boss. He reportedly felt like she was taunting him about the situation and wanted to check her phone messages to try to confirm his suspicions. The woman allegedly became angry, and according to reports, the situation intensified. She reportedly struck and bit her boyfriend and then called the police.
Officers from the Boston Police Department went to the address to see what was going on. When they arrived and talked to the woman, her story about what reportedly occurred was inconsistent. She allegedly said her boyfriend was forcibly holding her by the wrists when she bit him to force him to let go. It was noted that her wrists appeared to have red marks on them. When the police arrested the man, who reportedly had visible bite marks, his girlfriend allegedly recanted her story and said she made the whole thing up to try to stop them from taking him into custody.
