Deputies in El Paso County, Texas, arrested a man accused of attacking his former girlfriend twice in the same morning, according to law enforcement officials.
Early in the morning on October 3, a woman and her ex-boyfriend were reportedly involved in a situation that resulted in her being hospitalized for several injuries, and the man being arrested on felony charges. Deputies with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office were notified by the woman, who called to report that her ex-boyfriend had assaulted her. By the time deputies arrived, the suspect had already left the scene. Since things appeared to be calm, they left the premises.
According to reports, a few hours later, deputies were called back to the same location after the woman reported that the man had returned once more and assaulted her again. She reportedly sustained multiple injuries during the second alleged attack and was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
The 32-year-old suspect was arrested the following day and booked into the El Paso County Jail. He is facing multiple preliminary felony charges, including unlawful restraint, assault of a family member by impeding breathing, continuous assault on a family member, and retaliation. He was released after posting $58,500 bond. Court records from El Paso County indicate that the suspect had previously been charged with similar domestic violence-related offenses in 2019, but the case was ultimately dismissed.
At the time this was written, the suspect’s next court appearance had not yet been scheduled, and investigators had not released any additional information regarding the incident. Additionally, officials have not released specific details about how the alleged victim was injured or the extent of her condition.
