Wisconsin Couple had Sex on Floor in County Jail Lobby

A couple in Wisconsin accused of having sex in the lobby of the Waukesha County Jail in view of surveillance cameras is facing charges, but the authorities did not approach or interrupt them during the alleged incident.

Early in the morning on May 2, a 28-year-old man and 67-year-old woman were in the lobby of the Waukesha County Jail. Surveillance camera footage showed the woman lying on the floor. The man reportedly approached while carrying a large floormat, and he got on the floor next to her, and the pair reportedly covered themselves and used it as a blanket. The couple allegedly began having sexual intercourse. A few minutes later, the man left the building, but the woman remained.

The Waukesha County supervisor said law enforcement is unsure if they can intervene in situations like this because the city currently lacks a stable loitering ordinance, but the sheriff’s office was still notified about the situation.

A deputy responded, and the woman was still in the lobby of the building when they arrived. They reviewed the video of the incident, and it was determined that the couple did appear to be having sex on the floor.

According to reports, when the deputy spoke to the woman, she said she and the man had been a couple for four years. They ended up in the lobby because they were locked out of the boarding house. She also reportedly said she tried to keep their activities shielded by using pieces of clothing to conceal their bodies. She added that the sex was consensual.

The man was located, and both parties are facing preliminary charges of disorderly conduct. They were released on $1,000 signature bonds.
