A reportedly angry Florida woman who accused her boyfriend of ogling other women allegedly used two canine rabies needles to stab him in the eye.
On November 25, a man and his long-term girlfriend of eight years who live together in Miami-Dade reportedly had a lengthy verbal altercation. The woman, age 44, was reportedly upset because she believed the man had been looking at other women.
The man went to lie down on the couch, and things began to escalate. According to reports, his girlfriend grabbed two needles used for giving their dogs rabies vaccines and stabbed them into his eye. Afterward, she reportedly left the home.
The authorities were notified, and when they got to the residence, they immediately transported the alleged victim to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami for medical treatment.
Investigators went to the medical center and spoke with the man about what happened. He reportedly told them how his girlfriend plunged the needles into his right eye. He also provided them with a description of the woman and her car.
When the police went back to the couple’s home that evening, they saw a car matching the description they were given by the man. They discovered the woman was asleep inside the vehicle. When they asked her about the situation, she reportedly said she was not sure how the man got hurt.
The woman was taken into custody and booked into the Miami-Dade County Jail. She is facing preliminary charges of felony aggravated battery. According to reports, she was placed on house arrest after posting a $7,500 bond.
She has entered a plea of not guilty to the allegations, and she has an arraignment hearing on December 26.
