Man Claiming He is Jesus Sates Earthly Hunger with Pizza Theft

A man who believes he is Jesus Christ called 911 on Wednesday morning to report that he had illegally entered a local Pizza Hut because he was hungry after returning to earth from heaven.

46-year-old Richard Lee Quintero arrived at the High Point, North Carolina, location of Pizza Hut in the pre-dawn hours on Wednesday morning. Quintero, who regards himself as Jesus Christ, allegedly shattered a door window to get into the restaurant and sat down to enjoy a pizza and Mountain Dew.

Afterward, Quintero placed a call to 911 to let them know that he was back on earth and wanted to tell them what he had done.

During the recorded conversation with the dispatcher that has since reached viral status on the internet Quintero is heard explaining that he broke into the establishment and helped himself to the food and drink. When he was asked for personal information he reported that his first name is Jesus and his surname is Christ and declared that he had returned to earth from heaven because he is “tired of the Judases,” and he is going to right the situation.

When Quintero was questioned by the dispatcher about his motivation for what he said he had done he stated that he was simply famished and since he is Jesus he can do as he pleases. He reported that many of the people he had come in contact with had treated him poorly and that he had been assaulted by some of the strangers he encountered.

Police arrived at the Pizza Hut near 5:00 a.m. and reported that Quintero was completely compliant when they took him into custody. He was booked into the High Point Jail and charged with one count of felony larceny after breaking and entering. He is being held in lieu of a $1000 bond.

Though Quintero first told the 911 operator that he is from heaven he shared that he is from Indiana by origin, and he suffers from schizophrenia.
