911 Operator Exposed for Hiding Cam in Police Bathroom

A 911 operator is facing charges after he was accused of concealing a camera in the precinct bathroom and collecting images of officers using the facilities.

49-year-old John Logan lives in North Versailles, Pennsylvania, where he is employed as a 911 dispatcher.

On New Year’s Eve, one of the officers at the North Versailles Police Department went to use the facilities. The single-occupancy bathroom is for the staff of the department, and not designated for use by the public.

While the officer was in the bathroom, they reportedly discovered an object stuck to the urinal.

Upon further inspection, the officer asserted that the item was a small surveillance camera that was concealed with white paint and held on the urinal with velcro. He took a photograph of the item.

All of the officers in the station went into the bathroom to check out the equipment that was found.

At the same time, it was reported that Logan entered and insisted he had an urgent need to use the bathroom. The officers cleared out and allowed him to use the facilities.

When Logan was finished, the police took the camera out of the bathroom and saw that the SD card that stores the collected images was not in its place.

The Allegheny County Police were notified, and an investigation was opened.

Logan was asked if he pocketed the SD card, but he reportedly said he only put his hands on the camera and did not remove anything from it.

Logan’s bedroom at his residence was searched during the investigation, and it was reported that the authorities located the SD card there. They additionally allegedly found a collection of videos showing police officers using the bathroom, and some displayed the alleged victims’ genitals.

Logan is facing charges of invasion of privacy and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.
