Alien Abductee Facing Jury Trial for Third DUI

A Wyoming woman who reportedly claimed she was abducted by aliens is scheduled to have a jury trial after she was arrested for a third time for allegedly drinking and driving.

Late in the evening on May 20, a deputy from the Park County Sheriff’s Office was on duty in Cody when they saw a vehicle allegedly driving too close to the car in front of them. He decided to perform a traffic stop.

According to reports, the driver did not immediately pull their car over and continued driving for a few blocks before responding to the police vehicle’s flashing lights.

When the deputy began interacting with the driver, he believed she displayed several indications of intoxication and could smell alcohol. He said the woman told him she drank one beer.

After the driver got out of her car, the deputy reportedly found two empty vodka bottles and three beer cans in the back on the driver’s side.

It was reported that the woman explained to the deputy that she had a head injury a few days prior and was taking medication for a back injury as well. She allegedly added that she had also recently been abducted by aliens.

She reportedly resisted and fought with the deputy when he tried to arrest her.

The woman was eventually taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol – third offense, having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle, failing to maintain a single lane, following too closely, and committing a turning violation.

She was released after posting a $3,000 bond, and the judge ordered that she is not allowed to use, possess, consume, or ingest any alcohol or illegal controlled substances. She is also prohibited from visiting places that sell alcohol.

On May 22, the woman pleaded not guilty to the charges and is scheduled for a jury trial in October.
