A man from Arizona who reportedly proclaims to be a “furry” with a dog fetish allegedly used the internet to groom and kidnap a 13-year-old boy from Utah.
It was reported that a few weeks before Christmas, the mother of a boy, 13, found conversations she deemed inappropriate on his cell phone. The messages were reportedly sent through the Roblox game and the Oculus VR system.
The information and electronics were given to the police, and the family went on vacation.
They got back home, and when they awoke the following morning, they found that their son was not there.
It was reportedly discovered that their son and the person he had been communicating with, who was using the online name “Hunter Fox,” were staying connected on Discord. The messages allegedly contained sexual content, in addition to discussing the man coming to pick up the boy. Messages from a Twitter account believed to belong to the same person reportedly contained content directed at the teen, sometimes referring to the boy as “lamb.”
The authorities were notified, and an Amber Alert was issued.
The following day, someone called the police and said they saw someone suspicious at a local gas station in Grand Island, Nebraska.
The authorities sent police to the location, and the man and teen were found.
The 26-year-old suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the Hall County Jail. He is facing preliminary charges of felony kidnapping and resisting arrest. He was held in lieu of a $100,000 bond, and he is scheduled for a court appearance regarding the charges at the end of January.
While the boy was missing, his friends reached out to him on Twitter and tried to give him support. They also tried to get the alleged kidnapper to bring their friend back home.
