Comedian Andy Dick was arrested in an Orange County RV Campground after being accused of sexually assaulting another man at the site.
56-year-old Andy Dick is a professional comic who hails from Charleston, South Carolina. He has three children, and he is divorced. In 2006 he publicly announced that he is bi-sexual.
Dick is well known for his comedic content revolving around recreational drug use and drinking.
According to reports, Dick has been living in an RV campground facility in O’Neill Regional Park with a group of livestreamers.
On the morning of May 11, a man who also lives at the site woke up and believed he had a lubricant-type substance in his rectum.
The man asserted that Dick had sexually assaulted him while he was sleeping. He informed one of the other men at the site about what he believed happened to him.
In a video captured by one of the livestreamers and posted to YouTube on the “Captain Content RV” channel, the alleged victim is seen confronting Dick about his suspicions.
When the man entered the trailer that Dick was in, Dick was in the middle of a phone call.
Dick inquired as to whether the man stole his cocaine, and the man denied the accusation. Afterward, he can be heard asking Dick why he molested him in his sleep.
Dick told the man that he did not do what he was being accused of and asked the man to leave him alone.
Just after 11:00 am, Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived at the RV site.
The deputies began an investigation, and they talked to the alleged victim.
Dick was placed under arrest on suspicion of felony sexual battery. According to the authorities, he was taken into custody based on “information that was given to them” by the alleged victim.
He is being held at Central Jail in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
