When a teenage girl accidentally cut off a man, he allegedly responded by punching her.
47-year-old Stephen Irvin Saunders IV lives in Tampa, Florida, and is employed in the field of investment banking.
According to reports, around 10:30 pm on December 14, Saunders was driving his convertible, black and white Porche 911 a few miles away from his residence.
A girl, age 16, was driving down the same road when she cut off Saunders.
The man reportedly became angry and trailed the teen until they reached a red light. Saunders allegedly pulled his Porche in front of the girl’s vehicle in a way that trapped her.
According to reports, the girl said she heard Saunders yelling profanities at her and saying things such as “what the f*&^ are you doing?” but she said that she had cut him off by accident.
The young woman had the window rolled down, and when Saunders reportedly walked up to her car, he allegedly punched her in the face.
The Tampa Police Department was notified, and when they met with the alleged victim, they said they could see that her face was injured. They recorded that there was redness and bruising indicative of having been punched.
The teen gave the authorities a description of the vehicle her assailant was driving, and the police believed it would be easier to locate the owner since it is rare in appearance.
When the police identified Saunders as the owner, they showed a picture of him to the alleged victim. It was reported that she immediately knew he was the person who punched her.
Saunders was taken into custody and booked into the Hillsborough County Jail for suspicion of felony burglary of a conveyance with assault or battery. His bond was set at $15,000.
