Blood Trail at Scene Led Officers to Burglary Suspect

A Florida Man allegedly broke into a music store and fell three stories through a window near the roof, and when his blood was found at the scene it resulted in his arrest.

Just before 5:00 AM on October 20, a man driving a silver Kia Spectra reportedly parked at the Sam Ash Music Store in Clearwater.

According to reports, the man went to the outside of the third floor of the building. It is believed that he got inside through a window close to the roof.

He reportedly lost his footing, and the man fell three stories, injuring himself in the process.

It was reported that as the man descended, his body struck a lamp post and a display holding guitars.

The suspected burglar was stuck inside the locked store, and he reportedly grabbed an amplifier to break the window so he could get out. According to the authorities, the man left behind a trail of blood.

During their investigation of the situation, the police collected a sample of the blood. They also reviewed the footage from all five of the store’s surveillance cameras.

The blood that was collected at the scene was used to test the DNA, and the footage the authorities viewed gave them a description of the vehicle that the alleged suspect was driving.

When the testing was concluded, the police believed they knew who was responsible for the incident.

The authorities also discovered that another theft had taken place around the same time as the break-in at Sam Goody, and they believed the same man was involved.

On March 10, the suspect was taken into custody and booked into the Pinellas County Jail on a $10,000 bond. He is expected to face charges of burglary. He was released from custody on March 12.
