Church Pastor Tried to Dunk McDonald’s Cook’s Head in Fryer

A church pastor in North Carolina was arrested after allegedly attempting to dunk an employee in boiling oil at the McDonald’s his wife manages after she reportedly asked him to help her with a staff issue.

On the evening of December 28, a 44-year-old woman from High Point who is married to a church pastor from the Elevated Life International Ministries was working a training shift at the local McDonald’s where she was recently hired as a manager.

According to reports, the workers on duty were giving the woman a hard time, and she was having difficulty getting them to treat her respectfully. In an attempt to rectify the situation, she gave her husband a call and asked him if he would be able to come to the fast-food eatery to help. He reportedly agreed and headed to the establishment.

When he arrived, he allegedly went behind the counter and grabbed one of the employees by the throat, in addition to striking him in the face with a closed fist. They were standing near the fryer, and the man allegedly began pushing the worker’s face down towards the boiling oil. The other employees ran over and intervened.

The authorities were notified, and officers from the High Point Police Department went to the address. When they arrived, they spoke with people who said they saw the incident as it happened. They reported that the stories matched the one given by the alleged victim, and they believed there was probable cause to arrest the manager’s husband.

The man was taken into custody and booked on a $1,000 unsecured bond. He is facing preliminary charges of misdemeanor assault. According to records, he has been released and has a hearing scheduled on January 22.
