26-year-old Orelbis D. Cruz-Iglesias is from Lehigh Acres, and he is currently employed as a tractor-trailer driver.
Around 9:00 pm on December 4, Cruz-Iglesias was operating a tractor-trailer on I-70 in Rostraver Township.
The man reportedly lost control of the vehicle. The tractor-trailer went off the road and crashed over the embankment.
Another driver on the Interstate witnessed the accident and pulled over to see if the driver of the tractor-trailer was okay. When the man looked over the embankment, he said that Cruz-Iglesias was not wearing any clothes.
First responders transported Cruz-Iglesias to Penn Highlands Mon Valley hospital for medical treatment.
When the police went to the hospital to discuss the situation with Cruz-Iglesias, the man reportedly did not give them the correct name or date of birth when asked to identify himself. The authorities were able to collect his information from his employer.
Cruz-Iglesias took a sobriety test, but the authorities reported that he failed. They said the man agreed to have his blood drawn. Cruz-Iglesias insisted that he was not intoxicated.
The police inspected the tractor-trailer, and it was reported that they discovered a handgun in the cab. It was also reported that Cruz-Iglesias is not allowed to carry a firearm.
Cruz-Iglesias was placed under arrest and booked into Westmoreland County Jail on a $100,000 bond. He is facing charges of suspicion of driving under the influence, providing false identification to law enforcement, illegal possession of a firearm, and several traffic violations.
