Fleeing Felon Found with Firearms and Stolen Vehicle

A Florida man was placed under arrest after leading the police on a chase in a reportedly stolen four-wheeler in which a firearm and drugs were allegedly discovered.

Justin Williamson resides in the census-designated unincorporated community of Geneva in Seminole County, Florida. Williamson was previously convicted of a felony.

On April 16, Williamson was reportedly driving on the highway on a four-wheeler.

Deputies with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office reportedly saw a man, later identified as Williamson, driving a four-wheeled vehicle down the highway. They believed he was committing a traffic violation.

When the deputies attempted to perform a traffic stop, Williamson allegedly refused to pull over.

It was reported that the authorities were forced to chase after the man, and they were led down two highways before Williamson appeared to lose control of the vehicle.

The deputies were able to catch the man after he crashed the four-wheeler.

When the authorities interacted with Williamson, they found that he did not have a current valid license to drive, and he had an active warrant in Geneva County.

Williamson allegedly told the police that he had just stolen the vehicle from outside of someone’s residence in Holmes County.

The deputies performed a search of the inside of the vehicle, and they reportedly found a handgun that was loaded. They also reported that they discovered a pipe with a substance purported to be methamphetamine.

Williamson was taken into custody. It is expected that he will face charges for convicted felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a concealed firearm, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, grand theft of a motor vehicle, fleeing and attempting to elude law enforcement, reckless driving, knowingly driving without a valid driver’s license, and possessing an active warrant out of Geneva County.
