Florida Man Threw Christmas Tree at Wife

A Florida Man was arrested for domestic violence offenses after allegedly throwing a Christmas tree at his wife in response to her request for his help with cooking dinner.

On the evening of December 12, a husband, his wife, and their friend were in their Fruitland residence, and the woman was preparing dinner.

It was reported that the woman asked her husband for help with the meal, and he allegedly became enraged by her request.

The couple began to fight, and during the dispute, the woman dropped a spoon into the sink causing liquid to splash her husband. When the water hit the man, his anger level allegedly elevated.

According to reports, the man initially said that he was going to pack his things and leave.

Before he departed, he ended up deciding that he wanted his wife to go instead.

When the woman tried to leave, her husband allegedly shoved her away from the door to stop her. The woman went and sat with her friend.

Her husband was reportedly still angry, and he picked up the Christmas tree.

The tree snapped, and he allegedly threw one part into the kitchen. The man reportedly grabbed the other piece and flung it in the direction of his wife.

The police went to the residence, and they reported that they could hear the man yelling. They noted that they believed he had been drinking alcohol.

The man was placed under arrest and booked into the Lake County Jail. He is expected to face charges for felony violation of an injunction, felony false imprisonment, and felony domestic battery. He was released from custody the following day after posting an $8,000 bond.
