Isaiah Buggs Arrested for Domestic Violence on Father’s Day

Isaiah Buggs of the Kansas City Chiefs was arrested for domestic violence after he allegedly broke into the mother of his child’s apartment and reportedly physically harmed her.

27-year-old Isaiah Buggs, who began his career in the NFL with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2019, currently plays defensive lineman for the Kansas City Chiefs. The American football player has recently been in the news for an arrest regarding allegations of animal cruelty. Early in the morning on June 16, Buggs was involved in another situation involving criminal charges.

Around 5:30 AM, Buggs reportedly went to the apartment where the mother of his child resides. He allegedly used a tire iron to break into the dwelling, and when he got inside, he reportedly went after the woman. It was reported that Buggs wounded her by dragging her down a flight of stairs. When she said she was going to call the police, Buggs reportedly left the premises.

Officers from the Tuscaloosa Police Department headed to the address, and on the way there, they saw Buggs standing next to a car in a Little Caesars parking lot. One of the officers stopped so they could detain him, while another went to assist the alleged victim.

Buggs was booked into Tuscaloosa County Jail. He is facing preliminary charges of domestic violence and burglary. He was placed on a mandatory 24-hour domestic violence hold and released on a $5,000 bond. After taking the animal cruelty case into consideration, it was decided that his bond would be revoked, and he was returned to the detention center.

When his attorney gave a statement about the recent charges, he confirmed that Buggs maintains his innocence.
