Joe Exotic’s Husband Arrested for DUI

The husband of Joe Exotic was arrested and charged after it was purported that he was driving under the influence of alcohol, and the man reportedly attempted to avoid detainment by touting his fame to the officers.

Since 2017, 25-year-old Dillion Passage has been married to the now-incarcerated Joe Maldonado-Passage, aka “Joe Exotic,” who stars in the bizarre Netflix documentary series “Tiger King.”

Last weekend, Passage was reportedly at the Domain Northside outdoor shopping and dining center in Austin at 77 Degrees Rooftop Bar.

After he left the establishment, Passage was pulled over while driving in Manor on U.S. Highway 290 for reportedly having malfunctioning tail lights on his vehicle.

When Passage was interacting with the officers, he allegedly told them he is married to Joe Exotic, and the police purported that he disclosed the detail in an attempt to receive special treatment.

The police asserted that Passage displayed several indicators of having consumed too much alcohol to safely and legally operate a vehicle.

Passage allegedly told the officers he had three beers at the bar.

It was noted that the officers asked Passage if he knew where he was and if he was aware of the time.

Passage allegedly stated that he believed he was in a location approximately an hour from where he was, and that he thought it was nearly 6-hours earlier than the current time.

The man took a roadside sobriety test, and after he reportedly failed to perform up to par, he was taken into custody.

Passage was booked into the Travis County Jail on a $3,000 bond, and he was charged for suspicion of DUI, and resisting arrest, search or transport.

When Joe Exotic found out about Passage’s legal troubles, he posted on social media that he was relieved no one was physically harmed, and that his husband has only been drinking to excess since he has been in prison.

In contrast, the Tiger King series depicts Exotic and Passage indulging in illegal intoxicants more than once. This could lead one to wonder whether the alleged addiction has been ongoing for a longer period than suggested by Exotic.
