An Alabama man is facing several serious charges after allegedly having an underage girl perform sexually on a webcam and having her share the pictures and videos with men on a social media app.
Between the beginning of July and the end of August, a 26-year-old man from Mobile was reportedly interacting with a 15-year-old girl on a social media app called “Discord.”
According to reports, the man asked her to send him pictures and videos of herself engaging in sexual acts, despite allegedly knowing that she was underage.
The girl reportedly sent him 29 media files with pictures and videos of herself.
The man allegedly asked the young woman to post the videos and images on a Discord server for strangers to see.
The Elizabethtown Police Department was alerted by someone claiming they saw pornography on the app, and the authorities opened an investigation.
The police said that they located the content that was reported to them, and in addition to the photos and videos of the teenage girl, they learned that the man sent her digital files of himself performing sexual acts.
On November 30, the man was taken into custody and booked into the Hardin County Detention Center. He is facing many charges including use of a minor under the age of 16 in a sex performance, promoting a minor under the age of 16 in a sex performance, possession or viewing of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor, using a minor to distribute matter portraying a sexual performance of a minor, illegal transaction with a minor, and distribution of obscene matter to a minor. He is being held on a $50,000 cash bond.
