A North Carolina man was arrested after authorities accused him of urinating on four people during a Morgan Wallen concert in Baltimore.
The family was attending the July 18 performance at M&T Bank Stadium when the alleged incident occurred. One attendee said he initially thought liquid landing on him was spilled beer. That changed when his wife told him that whatever the man behind them was doing had gotten onto her leg.
The attendee then looked over his shoulder and allegedly saw the man’s pants down while urine was hitting members of his group. His wife and 8-year-old niece were among those allegedly affected. His brother, who attended the concert with his daughters, ages 8 and 11, later described the situation as sickening.
The two men had apparently interacted earlier in the evening during opener Ella Langley’s set. The attendee said he had asked the other man to stop speaking loudly to people on FaceTime. Later, after returning with food and drinks, he said he apologized to the man, and they talked about sports.
It was reported that the interaction remained civil until the alleged urination occurred several songs into Wallen’s set. It was believed the man may have been intoxicated.
Security personnel became involved after an altercation was reported during the concert. Officers assisting Baltimore police separated the people involved, identified the suspected attacker, and escorted him out of the stadium.
Detectives later investigated the allegations and spoke with additional witnesses who had not been present during the initial response. Authorities ultimately identified the suspect as a 33-year-old North Carolina man.
He was arrested August 12 and charged with four counts of second-degree assault, public urination, and other related offenses. He was being held in North Carolina while awaiting extradition to Maryland.
