Glendale police received a call at about 3:30 p.m. about a suspicious man allegedly trying to sniff people inside a grocery store. Around the same time, officers received a similar report of the same thing occurring at a local Marshalls.
According to reports, police reviewed surveillance footage from both businesses and identified the same man as the suspect. Officers later located him nearby and arrested him on suspicion of violating his parole.
Surveillance footage from one of the incidents reportedly showed the man crouching near a female employee as she stocked shelves. A store manager reported that the suspect had allegedly engaged in similar behavior at the business on two previous occasions.
This was not the first time the man had been accused of similar behavior, and he was previously arrested multiple times in Glendale and Burbank.
In July 2025, police responded to a report of a suspicious person loitering in the women’s department of a Nordstrom Rack in Burbank. Officers later learned the man had allegedly followed a female customer, crouched near her, and sniffed her buttocks. He was charged with loitering with intent to commit a crime.
Less than a month later, he was arrested again after allegedly sniffing another woman’s buttocks at a Walgreens in Burbank.
He was also arrested in November 2025 for allegedly failing to complete his annual sex-offender registration requirement and has received multiple jail sentences for parole violations.
According to records, the man was being held without bail pending his next court hearing at the time this was written.
