Man Charged For Porn-Inspired Public Flirtation

An Iowa man allegedly approached a woman and her child in a store and attempted to reenact what he had seen in an adult film because he purportedly believed it would help him gain her sexual interest.

Around 3:00 pm on October 11, the Ottumwa, Iowa, Dollar General Store was being frequented by shoppers when a man walked in and allegedly set his sights on a female patron that was with her young son.

The man, identified as 23-year-old Nicholas Sheehy purportedly found the female attractive, and he allegedly walked up to the woman with the intention of winning her favor by playing out a scene from a porn movie he had watched.

When Sheehy presented himself to the alleged victim and her child he reportedly pulled out his penis in the same manner that he reportedly had seen depicted in the film.

The woman did not accept Sheehy’s proposition but instead called the authorities to report his alleged pornographic performance.

When the police responded to the alleged victim’s complaint and spoke with Sheehy about the allegations, the man reportedly confirmed that he was got the inspiration from what he had seen in X-rated material and that he had “whipped it out” for the woman to see. He allegedly had hopes that she would return his sexual interest and said that the experience gave him sexual fulfillment.

Sheehy was placed under arrest and booked into the county jail. He is facing charges for suspicion of one serious misdemeanor count of indecent exposure.

In the state of Iowa, a serious misdemeanor holds a penalty of up to one year of incarceration, in addition to a fine of between $315 and $1,875.
