Man Escaped from Violent Kidnappers while Bound and Gagged

Three people were arrested after a Maryland man was found running down the middle of the street after escaping from three individuals who he accused of holding him captive for almost 24 hours and attacking him.

According to reports, on the morning of March 9, a man whose identity has not been released was going to meet his girlfriend’s brother. They planned to work together on repairing his vehicle. While he was en route, three individuals, later identified as two men and a woman from Darlington, reportedly intercepted him and violently attacked the man before abducting him. After the alleged ambush, the trio reportedly left the man gagged and tied up in a garage for nearly 24 hours.

The following morning, the alleged captors went out, and the man saw it as an opportunity to try to get away. He was ultimately successful, but he was unable to take the gag out of his mouth and untie his hands from behind his back. He was spotted running down the middle of the street, and the authorities were notified.

All three suspects were taken into custody on multiple charges. One man may face charges of one count each of kidnapping, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and false imprisonment. The second man is facing preliminary charges of first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and false imprisonment. The woman is expected to face charges for first and second-degree assault, false imprisonment, and reckless endangerment.

According to a new release, multiple agencies including the Harford County Sheriff’s Office, Maryland State Apprehension Team, and Baltimore County Police Department worked together, and the Maryland State Police Criminal Enforcement Division Northern Region is in charge of the ongoing investigation.

The alleged victim was taken to the hospital for medical treatment of multiple injuries.
