Man in FBI Costume Assaulted Owner of Haunted House with BB Gun

A Florida man wearing an FBI costume may face felony charges after he allegedly shot the owner of a haunted house with a BB gun when he thought the man was actually a frightening prop.

On Halloween, a 47-year-old man who turned his home into a haunted house for people to enjoy without cost was visited by a 20-year-old man dressed as an FBI agent. The man was also reportedly wearing a bulletproof vest and carrying a BB gun that looked similar to a Glock handgun when he entered the attraction.

It was reported that the man wandered through the home, and after turning a corner, he came across the homeowner, who was in costume, but not performing at the time. The 20-year-old allegedly grabbed the BB gun and reportedly hit the man in the eye with the handle.

According to reports, the man did not say he was sorry, and he told the alleged victim he had the appearance of a statue. The alleged victim, who was bleeding, chased the man when he reportedly began rushing toward the door to exit. He wanted to keep him there until the police arrived.

After the authorities were notified, deputies from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office went to the location and found the suspect was still at the scene. Emergency medical technicians were also on-site, and they were treating the homeowner’s injuries.

The suspect was taken into custody and booked into the Pinellas County Jail. He is facing preliminary charges of felony aggravated battery, and possession of a bulletproof vest during the commission of a felony.  He was released the following day after posting a $15,000 bond.
