Man Jailed for Hitting Brother in Head with Frozen Chicken

A man is facing charges after he allegedly got into a fight with his brother and hit him in the head with a large, frozen bag of chicken.

On the evening of May 2, a man from West Monroe, Louisiana, and his 59-year-old brother were together in the mobile home they share. The man spotted two broken windows in the residence, and he asked his brother for information about the incident.

He was reportedly angered by the topic, and the man allegedly opened the freezer and began throwing the frozen goods at his brother. The alleged victim was reportedly hit in the head with a large bag of frozen chicken parts.

According to reports, the man walked outside to get out of the trajectory of any additional flying items, and with the intention of diffusing the situation. While he was outside, his brother reportedly locked him out of the trailer.

Deputies with the Ouachita County Sheriff’s Department arrived at the residence and spoke to the men.

The alleged victim explained that he and his brother had a fight about the broken windows, and it brought on the alleged frozen foods assault.

The man was taken into custody and booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center. He is facing charges of misdemeanor simple battery for the alleged frozen fowl attack. His brother told the authorities that he would like to follow through with pressing charges.

The suspect is being held in lieu of a $500 bond.

According to jail records, the suspect was also arrested last month for an alleged aggravated assault involving an attempted attack with a knife.

The alleged victim was offered medical treatment for his injuries, but he declined.
