Man Made Pregnant Woman Swallow Blazing Blunt

A man is facing multiple domestic violence-related offenses after allegedly causing physical harm to his pregnant housemate when he allegedly made her swallow a burning blunt.

According to reports, a 24-year-old man and the pregnant woman with whom he shares a residence had experienced a couple of violent incidents, and the most recent one led to his arrest. The pair lives in Cherry Valley, Illinois, which is approximately 10 miles from the Wisconsin border. On March 8, the man allegedly physically attacked the woman by choking and burning her. Two days later, while she was lying in bed, the man reportedly became aggressive with her again.

The woman said he was trying to force her to allow him to wash her feet, and the man allegedly roughly took her to their upstairs bathroom. He reportedly put his hands around her neck and choked her until she broke free, and he walked out of the room. A few moments later, he reentered the bathroom with a burning blunt (marijuana rolled in cigar paper). The man allegedly shoved the smoldering item into her mouth and made her swallow it.

The authorities were notified, and the woman was taken to the Swedish American Hospital for medical treatment. It was reported that the baby was not harmed during the alleged battery.

After locating him in Wisconsin, the man was taken into custody by deputies from the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office and booked into the county lockup. He is facing preliminary charges of two counts of aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, domestic battery causing bodily harm, and aggravated battery causing strangulation. According to reports, he was released from jail the following day.
