42-year-old Daisy Mae Rice Nolan has a 16-year-old daughter and a 24-year-old son. They reside in West Monroe.
Nolan recently had an active warrant for her arrest for methamphetamine and paraphernalia possession.
Last weekend, the authorities received a report that police were needed at Nolan’s address.
When officers with the West Monroe Police Department interacted with and identified the woman, they let her know that she was being taken into custody because of the warrant.
Nolan’s 16-year-old daughter, 24-year-old son, and her son’s girlfriend were also at home when the police arrived. It was reported that none of them objected to a police search of the inside of the dwelling.
The officers checked Nolan’s bedroom, and it was reported that a bag of something suspected to be marijuana was located. Several pieces of paraphernalia believed to be meant for marijuana and methamphetamine use were also reportedly found.
The room that Nolan’s son and his girlfriend share was inspected, and the police reported that they located meth.
Nolan’s son reportedly told the authorities that both he and his girlfriend use meth and that they get it from Nolan.
Nolan’s daughter spoke to the police, and it was reported that she told them she was a regular user of methamphetamine for approximately three years. She reportedly initially said that she procured the drugs by herself, but later said her mom gave her the substance.
When Nolan was given a pat-down, she was allegedly found holding two grams of meth. The woman reportedly admitted to giving methamphetamine to her children.
Nolan was taken into custody for suspicion of possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and cruelty to juveniles.
Her son was also arrested, and he is expected to face charges for three counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
