When a 12-year-old girl’s mom found sexual content on her cell phone, the woman allegedly subjected her child to several torturous punishments.
33-year-old Priscilla Jocelyn Florentino lives in Palm Coast, Florida. It is reported that she has a 12-year-old daughter.
On August 11, Florentino went to her job at the Microtel Inn and Suites with her daughter’s cell phone.
The woman and one of her co-workers looked through the contents of the phone and discovered pictures that were sexual in nature. Florentino believed her daughter was sexually active, and she allegedly became upset.
It was reported that Florentino picked up her daughter at school and returned to her job with the girl.
According to a witness, Florentino handcuffed the youngster to the steering wheel and left her in the automobile despite the hot day.
Shortly after, Florentino reportedly retrieved her daughter and brought her into the establishment. She allegedly forced the girl to stay seated while she shaved her head, shoved a metal bar in her mouth, insulted her, and wrote degrading words on her face. Florentino also allegedly struck the child.
After the alleged incident, Florentino left the hotel and went home with her daughter.
When the authorities were notified, they investigated the scene and reported they found hair in a trash can that they believed belonged to Florentino’s daughter.
Deputies went to Florentino’s house, and the woman reportedly refused to cooperate. It was reported that she struck the officers and tried to run away.
Florentino was taken into custody and booked into the Flagler County Jail. She may face charges of child abuse, resisting an officer with violence, and battery on a law enforcement officer, all third-degree felonies. She is being held on a $17,500 bond.
It was reported that a no-contact order was issued, so Florentino will not be allowed to return to her home where the child resides. The order also prohibits her from being within a certain distance of her daughter. The alleged abuse was also reported to the Florida Department of Children & Families.
