Mother Violently Attacked when Leaving Park in Sacramento

A man without a fixed address has been accused of assaulting a woman as she left a park with her two children and tried to get into her vehicle.

Early in the afternoon on February 12, a woman who was spending time with her two children at McKinley Park in Sacramento packed up her family and headed to the car.

As the mother got her children into the vehicle and began to buckle their safety belts, a man reportedly approached her from behind.

The suspect reportedly shoved the woman into her vehicle and proceeded to strike her in the head and face with a closed fist.

It was reported that the alleged victim’s youngsters were viewing as she was attacked.

The authorities were notified, and the alleged victim drove to the hospital to make sure that she did not need medical treatment. It was reported that she was not injured during the incident.

The woman told the police that she did not have any previous contact or familiarity with the person who attacked her and that she did not do anything to encourage him to approach her.

Statements were taken from people who said they witnessed the incident, and the police believed they had a good description of the man responsible for the assault.

The suspect, identified as 24-year-old Christian Glazier, was under a freeway overpass near the park when the authorities found him.

Glazier was placed under arrest as the perpetrator of the attack. He was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail for felony assault. After a request was approved for his bond to be set higher because of the violent nature of the crime, Glazier is being held on a $100,000 bond.
