A man without a fixed address has been accused of assaulting a woman as she left a park with her two children and tried to get into her vehicle. 

Early in the afternoon on February 12, a woman who was spending time with her two children at McKinley Park in Sacramento packed up her family and headed to the car. 

As the mother got her children into the vehicle and began to buckle their safety belts, a man reportedly approached her from behind.

Three people are accused of child endangerment after five children were reportedly discovered in a handmade wooden box attached to the bed of the pickup truck in which they were traveling.

On the afternoon of May 12, the temperature outside was recorded as having a high ranging being between 90 to 100-degrees in the Needles area of San Bernardino County, California.

According to a release from the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department, near 2:00 pm, the authorities received from a phone call requesting service at a rest stop claiming there might be youngsters riding in the back of a pickup truck inside a crate. The caller reportedly suspected the children might be in danger.

On Christmas day, a high school soccer coach was placed under arrest for suspicion of human trafficking two teenage girls when he was found in the company of the young women after one of them called the authorities for help.

At nearly 3am on Monday, 911 received a call from a 17-year-old girl who reported that she was hiding from a man in a nearby vehicle who was waiting for her. She claimed that the man, identified as 34-year-old Elan Seagraves, had sexually assaulted her and forced her into prostitution.

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department dispatched deputies to the scene where they located the girl in the yard, and they found Seagraves parked in a car nearby. They discovered a second teenage girl, also 17, sitting in the vehicle with Seagraves. Authorities posit they are both victims of human trafficking.

A former case manager that worked with foster youths who had been neglected or abused was accused of raping a 16-year-old girl in June.

Morris Leroi Brinker was working as a case manager with the Children’s Law Center of California who regularly represent abused, neglected or abandoned children in Los Angeles and Sacramento counties. He was in charge of the victim’s case at the time during which the alleged crime took place.

Part of Brinker’s job description involved driving children various places in his personal vehicle. Authorities reported that the teenage girl claimed on June 29, Brinker had sex with her in a parking lot in his car.
