A naked Florida Man greased with peppermint oil and blood was arrested after he reportedly broke into two homes, jumped in a pool, and hopped on a trampoline while trying to escape law enforcement.
At approximately 2:00 AM last Friday, the authorities received a call from someone notifying them about a burglary at a DeBary residence. The intruder reportedly smashed a window to get into the home while the residents were inside.
Deputies from the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office went to the address, and when they arrived, they saw a nude man running across the backyard of a different home they believe he burglarized.
There was a pool and a trampoline in the yard, and the man reportedly ran from a deputy and jumped into the water.
Afterward, the suspect climbed out of the pool and leaped on the trampoline in an alleged attempt to escape from the officer.
Three additional deputies arrived to assist in detaining the suspect. It was noted that he was covered in a greasy film that they believed was comprised of wheel-bearing grease, peppermint oil, and blood.
It was reported that the man continued to struggle and resist, and he allegedly kicked one of the deputies hard enough to break the skin.
The authorities believe that the suspect was under the influence of narcotics, but they were unsure what, if anything, he had taken.
The slippery suspect was taken for medical evaluation and treatment before being booked into the Volusia County Branch Jail. He is expected to face charges of two counts of occupied burglary, three counts of battery on a law enforcement officer, two counts of criminal mischief, and resisting arrest with violence.
