When the authorities confronted a musician after a neighbor complained about the late-night noise, the man blamed a classic rock band for the volume level.
40-year-old Nathan Rock lives in the Villa on the Lake Apartments in Huron, Ohio.
According to the police report, Rock has intentions of releasing a music album, and he uses his residence to practice.
On November 9, Rock was reportedly rocking out to Led Zeppelin.
Around 1:30 am, one of Rock’s neighbors purportedly did not appreciate his talent or his alleged noise level.
The following day, the 60-year-old woman notified the authorities about her belief that the musician was disturbing her instead of entertaining her.
Law enforcement with the Erie County Sheriff’s Office went to the woman’s apartment to collect an official report about the alleged middle-of-the-night noise pollution.
The woman said that the combination of the volume level that Rock was playing the music, with the addition of his reportedly booming warbling, was causing her strife. She added that Rock has made a habit of being inconsiderate to those living around him with his excessive music noise level.
The neighbor said that Rock tried to reach out to her to say he was sorry, but she declined the apology and called the police instead.
When deputies attempted to discuss the situation with Rock, the man was at work, and they went to Wendy’s to speak with him.
As he talked to the authorities about his neighbor’s claims, Rock allegedly disclosed that he was playing Led Zeppelin. He reportedly added that it is not possible to play that band without cranking the volume up.
The deputies decided that Rock would be issued a warning. They told the man that he would have to learn to keep the noise down or he would be charged for disorderly conduct.
