Officer Assaulted During Fiasco with Nude Duo

Two arrests were made during a surreal incident in a hotel room allegedly involving a couple, a nude headstand, meth, PCP, the assault of an officer, and a Taser.

On the evening of December 15, the authorities were notified by someone at La Quinta Inn in Lufkin. The caller believed that they heard screaming coming from one of the rooms.

Officers with the Lufkin Police Department went to the location to investigate.

According to reports, the police could hear someone screaming out for help, and it was coming from inside one of the rooms.

When the officers knocked on the door, they reported that no one answered. They believed they had just cause to enter without permission, and one of the officers went to their police vehicle to get a tool capable of opening the door.

When they got the door open and peered inside the room, the officers reported that they saw a naked woman sitting on the bed, and a nude man on the floor doing a headstand.

The room was inspected, and PCP, methamphetamine, paraphernalia, a firearm, and bullets were reportedly discovered.

The police asserted that the man had taken PCP, and they believed the drug use caused his alleged behavior.

The woman was handcuffed without resistance, but it was reported that the man refused to cooperate.

When they tried to handcuff him, he allegedly repeatedly kicked one of the officers in the shins.

A second officer punched the man in the chest, but the suspect continued to fight. He was Tased and shoved into a door before he was arrested.

After he was released from St. Luke’s Health-Memorial Hospital, the man was booked into the Angelina County Jail. He is suspected of assault of a public servant, resisting arrest, search or transport, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of less than 1 gram of a controlled substance. He was incarcerated in lieu of a $40,000 bond.

The female suspect was also booked into the Angelina County Jail, and she is expected to face a charge of possession of a controlled substance. She was released the following day on a $1,000 bond.
