A Kentucky daycare employee is accused of making threats to “shoot up” the facility in an effort to force a lockdown during a stretch of extreme summer heat.

The 27-year-old woman allegedly told investigators she did not want to be outside with the children in the heat and knew a threat would keep everyone inside the building. Temperatures in Bowling Green reached the high 90s on August 13 and 14.

The investigation began August 13, when Warren County sheriff’s deputies were called to the daycare over reports of violent threats. Investigators initially suspected a former employee or her husband and located the pair nearby.

A woman and a man in Georgia were reportedly arrested after a 14-year-old boy came home with a full sleeve tattoo that was allegedly done illegally.

According to reports, the incident happened in late December. The boy reportedly went out with his mother on December 28 and later returned with a large tattoo covering most of his arm. The teen’s father, who reportedly has full custody, believed the tattoo was inappropriate for a child and contacted the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators said they later learned that the tattoo was allegedly done at an unlicensed location by a tattoo artist they believed was unlicensed. A probable cause affidavit outlined the steps deputies took after receiving the report. Authorities responded to a barbershop, where they made contact with the man accused of giving the tattoo.
