A 34-year-old man was arrested in Miami, Florida, after he allegedly prevented a woman from leaving his apartment during what was reportedly their first in-person meeting.

Authorities stated that the woman had connected with the man earlier in February through a social media dating app. After speaking by phone, she reportedly agreed to travel from Orlando to Miami to meet him. Sources report that she brought her 3-year-old daughter with her on the trip.

According to an arrest affidavit, the man picked them up from the train station. Although they had reportedly planned to go out to eat, they instead went to his apartment after he ordered pizza. The woman later told police she felt uneasy once inside the residence due to its condition. Despite that feeling, she reportedly remained there for a period of time.
