Two people from Spokane were arrested last week after the police alleged that they were involved in a mail and check fraud scheme affecting at least 50 alleged victims.

On January 31 in Post Falls, Idaho, a traveler saw a truck stopped in the middle of a traffic lane. The individual believed the driver and passenger were sleeping, and they decided to approach the vehicle. They woke the man and woman and suggested that they park on the side of the road while they slept, but the driver reportedly drove away instead. The person notified the authorities about the situation, and an officer from the Post Falls Police Department quickly found the truck nearby.

After pulling over the truck, a K9 at the scene signaled that they detected narcotics in the vehicle. According to reports, the police found meth paraphernalia, in addition to many pieces of mail addressed to different residences. They also allegedly came across checks they believed were forged by the driver and passenger.

A Pennsylvania sandwich shop employee was reportedly attacked by two of his coworkers after a dispute about his service dog.

On the evening of December 16, an incident between three employees occurred at a Jimmy John’s in Downtown Pittsburg which put one man in critical condition and the others in the county jail. According to reports, the alleged victim had his service dog with him, and one of the other men asked if he could pet it. A disagreement ensued, and the situation reportedly became physically violent.

When the authorities were notified, Pittsburg police officers went to the location, where they found that the alleged victim looked like he had been violently attacked. Emergency Medical Services took him to a local hospital for medical attention. When they learned the identity of the suspects, who were no longer at the restaurant, they went to look for them.

A father in Pennsylvania is facing several charges after allegedly running away and abandoning his 3-month-old daughter in a store when he was accused of shoplifting.

According to reports, late in the evening on January 18, a man with an infant and two other adults went to a Walmart store in Philadelphia. While they were there, the group allegedly picked up items and tried to leave the store without paying for them.

Store security noticed the three suspected thieves, and when they tried to confront them about the allegedly stolen goods, they fled from the premises. The 2-month-old’s father reportedly left her behind at the store.
