A woman is facing several felony charges after she alleged sped through a site set up for distributing the COVID vaccine and almost hit many workers.
On the morning of May 24, the parking lot at the Foothills Mall in Maryville, Tennessee, was one of the local sites people could go for a COVID vaccine. A tent for distribution of the injections, in addition to directional cones for traffic, was set up at the location.
Around 9:00 am, several people were inside the tent, including members of the National Guard and healthcare workers. A speeding vehicle was reportedly spotted by a deputy.
