Two patrons at a fast-food restaurant in Tennessee suffered from burns after a reportedly angry employee allegedly doused them with scalding oil.
On July 22, an incident occurred at a Wingstop restaurant in Memphis that resulted in the arrest of one of the employees. According to reports, two women went to the eatery and approached the worker at the counter. For reasons that have not currently been disclosed, the trio got into an argument. Things continued to escalate, and the employee walked away and went into the kitchen. While there, she reportedly filled a bowl with hot oil and returned to the front where the women were still standing.
The verbal disagreement was ongoing, but things took a turn into the physical realm when the employee allegedly threw the contents of the bowl in the direction of the women. They were both hit with the scalding oil – one on her body and face, and the other on one of her shoulders. The authorities were notified, and officers from the Memphis Police Department began investigating the situation.
