A software engineer from Seattle who was reportedly largely influenced by the movie “Office Space” is facing charges after he allegedly pilfered over $300,000 from his former employer by editing the software. 

Last Spring, Zulily.com noticed that there was an issue with the way their checkout system was operating. 

According to reports, they learned that some of the charges from purchases and shipping fees were incorrect. They also found that the price of some of their merchandise had been lowered.

A Florida man reportedly pretended he was a New York state trooper in an alleged attempt to have his ex-girlfriend arrested by reporting false claims about the woman. 

37-year-old Claude Francis Tristram is from the Florida Keys. 

According to reports, Tristram had been in a relationship with a woman, and when it concluded, she received a court order preventing him from contacting her in the future.

Two 9th grade student allegedly used their computer smarts to illegally interfere with their school’s internet connection on several occasions so that they wouldn’t have to take tests.

At Secaucus High School in New Jersey, two boys, age 14, allegedly took down the internet connection that is essential for much of the schoolwork on the campus. The purported connection-crashing shenanigans appeared to correlate with the times that tests were scheduled to take place in the classes of the accused students.

Last Thursday, school officials notified the authorities to report the allegedly intentional web blackouts and give the police the names of the students that they suspected were the responsible parties.
