A 17-year-old girl in Texas reportedly used a BB gun to threaten her male friend while three children were in the vehicle with them because she vehemently objected to going to Walmart.
On October 25, a 17-year-old girl and her 20-year-old male friend drove to Walmart in Brownsville in a van with three children and a male passenger.
It was reported that the woman’s 20-year-old companion wanted to go into the store, but she was completely against the idea. The pair allegedly began to fight over the shopping trip.
The man reportedly stepped out of the van and started to walk toward Walmart.
According to reports, the woman got out of the vehicle with a black bb gun and pursued the man. When she caught up to him, she allegedly told him she was going to shoot him with the weapon.
A bystander noticed the interaction and thought they saw the woman holding a gun. They called the police to report the incident and informed them that both parties got into a gold-colored van and drove away.
The police found the van and pulled them over.
When they searched the vehicle, they reportedly located the bb gun, in addition to marijuana.
The 20-year-old reportedly told the police the marijuana belonged to him.
The woman was taken into custody and booked into the Cameron County Jail. It is expected that she will face charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, family violence, abandonment/endangerment of a child, and possession of marijuana. She was held on a $35,000 bond.
The man was also placed under arrest on suspicion of possession of marijuana. He was also booked into the Cameron County Jail in lieu of a $6,000 bond.
Both suspects had arraignments on October 26.
