After a recent string of devastating personal losses, actress Tiffany Haddish was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after she was found asleep behind the wheel in her vehicle.
42-year-old Tiffany Haddish is a well-known actress and comedian.
In 2005, she began acting on the show That’s So Raven. She has an extensive list of films, tv and stand-up shows, and other performances in her lengthy filmography.
Haddish was awarded a Grammy in 2021 in the category of Best Comedy Album. Following Whoopi Goldberg’s win in 1986, Haddish became the second Black woman to ever win the award.
Haddish, who is currently working on a film and several television projects, has recently suffered the loss of several loved ones.
According to reports, her grandmother who raised Haddish passed away recently. She also suffered the loss of her canine companion of 13 years, in addition to two of her friends, one of whom was the beloved actor and comic Bob Saget.
Early in the morning on January 14, Haddish was reportedly in Peachtree City in her automobile.
Just after 2:00 am, the Peachtree City Police Department was notified about a vehicle with a driver who appeared to have fallen asleep at the wheel. The person who informed the authorities told them the direction the automobile was seen.
Officers located the car as it was reportedly driven onto the lawn of a residence, and they identified Haddish as the driver. The police believed she was under the influence.
Haddish was taken into custody and booked into the Fayette County Jail on suspicion of DUI, in addition to improper stopping on a roadway. She was released after paying a $1,666 bond.
Haddish’s fans have expressed compassion for her with regard to the incident.
