According to the police, two Florida men were found with a missing teen girl who they had allegedly been sex trafficking and reportedly using her to entice a second young female into joining them.
It was reported that recently, a 15-year-old girl from the Miami-Dade area went missing.
When the missing persons department with the Miami-Dade Police were notified about the situation, they opened an investigation.
As the police collected information, they came across details that caused them to believe she was the victim of sex trafficking.
The State Attorney’s Office’s Human Trafficking Task Force was notified by the missing person’s department, and they were informed about the missing teen and the suspicions about her disappearance being related to sex trafficking.
An online profile of the girl was reportedly discovered, but the age was displayed as 19. It is believed that the page was intended to set up meetings between the girl and older men.
Through further investigation, the authorities reported that they discovered the teen was talking to another 15-year-old from Hialeah. She was allegedly trying to get the girl to join her in performing sexual acts for money under the supervision of the two men she was with.
When the men reportedly went to pick up the new girl, the police were already at the address.
Both suspects were taken into custody and booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center where they are each incarcerated without bond.
According to inmate records, one of the men is accused of two counts of human trafficking of a victim under the age of 18, and the other suspect is expected to be charged with one count of human trafficking of a victim under the age of 18.
