A woman in Waco, Texas, was recently arrested after authorities reported that she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend during an argument inside their home.
According to an arrest affidavit, the incident reportedly happened while the couple, who had been dating for about a year, were at the residence together. The boyfriend was in the shower when the woman allegedly entered the bathroom yelling at him. Authorities stated that after he got out of the shower, he reportedly saw her coming from the kitchen holding multiple knives.
Investigators said she allegedly demanded his phone and approached him in a threatening manner. The boyfriend reportedly tried to shield himself using bed sheets, but authorities stated that he was cut on his left arm during the confrontation. After the injury, he ran to a nearby neighbor’s home for help, and the police were contacted.
When officers arrived, they first spoke with the woman. She reportedly told them that her boyfriend had taken her phone and pushed her to the ground. Authorities stated that officers did not observe any visible injuries on her at the scene.
Police later made contact with the boyfriend, who reportedly said he had been stabbed with a knife. Officers observed a cut on his arm consistent with his account, according to the affidavit. When asked about the injury, the woman allegedly said she did not know how it occurred.
Authorities also reported that she said she had scissors in her hand during the argument and claimed they were intended for cutting sheets.
The woman was taken into custody and booked into the McLennan County Jail. She is facing a preliminary charge of aggravated assault. According to reports, she was held in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
