Woman Hit Boyfriend in Head With Machete

When a woman allegedly became angered after her boyfriend wet the bed, she reportedly used a machete to hit him over the head.

39-year-old Bophanary Om and her boyfriend, also 39, live together in Deer Park, Illinois.

On the evening of On July 26, Om and her boyfriend were relaxing at home when the man reportedly urinated in the bed that they share, allegedly causing his girlfriend to become rather upset over the purported accident.

Om reportedly got out of bed, and when she returned, she was allegedly wielding a machete.

The woman allegedly aimed the large weapon at her boyfriend’s head and delivered a blow.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office reported that they received notification of a domestic violence situation taking place, and deputies were sent to the residence.

When the authorities talked with the alleged victim about the events of the incident, they reported that they noticed a “serious injury” on the man’s head, and they had him taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The deputies asserted that the wound seemed to appear as if it was the result of Om striking her boyfriend over the head with a machete.

Om was taken into custody and booked into the Lake County Jail on a $30,000 ordered bail.

She is expected to face charges for felony aggravated domestic battery, felony aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and two counts of misdemeanor domestic battery for the allegations.

Om is expected to go to court on August 25 regarding the charges.

The alleged victim was reported as having been admitted to the hospital, where he is expected to make a full recovery.
