Woman in a Pickle for Breaking into Ex’s Home

A Florida woman has been accused of dumping pickled pork on her ex-boyfriend’s sofa and striking him with a soft drink after allegedly breaking into his home.

According to reports, around 8:00 PM on March 1, a woman from Fort Myers went to her former boyfriend’s residence in Leigh Acres without first being invited. When she arrived she allegedly retrieved a hidden spare key and let herself in without permission. The man was home at the time, and when he encountered her in his dwelling he and his ex-girlfriend reportedly got into a verbal altercation. The woman allegedly broke many items and reportedly dumped the contents of a pickled pork jar on his couch causing it to soak through the material.

The authorities were notified about the domestic dispute, and deputies from the Lee County Sheriff’s Department went to the address. When they arrived, the pair were seen arguing outside the building. One of the deputies noted that they saw the woman throw a 2-liter bottle of Sprite in the direction of where the man was standing.

It was reported that when the deputies spoke to the man, he told them the woman had broken into his home, but she denied the accusation. They noted that there was pork product sitting on the sofa, and broken glass on the floor.

The woman was taken into custody and booked into the Lee County Jail. She is facing preliminary charges of domestic violence battery – touch or strike, damage to property and criminal mischief under $200, and unarmed burglary of an occupied dwelling. She was released after posting a $7,225 bond, and her next court date is scheduled for April Fool’s Day.
