When a back seat passenger in a vehicle that got pulled over was reportedly found with drugs, she told the authorities that drug dealing is her occupation because she cannot find a different job.
Just before 7:30 PM on April 10, a trooper saw an SUV that they believed was without state inspection tags.
The trooper performed a traffic stop, and when they approached the vehicle, it was noted that there was a total of three people inside the SUV.
After talking to and identifying the driver, the trooper spoke to and identified the passenger sitting in the front seat.
It was reported that the front seat passenger informed the trooper that the back seat passenger had drugs in the SUV. The man alleged that the woman, identified as 27-year-old Rainee Pase, let him and the driver know that she had narcotics when she realized that they were being pulled over.
There was a backpack in the back of the car, and the police purported that it was Pase’s. When talking to the officers about the bag, Pase allegedly told them that it contained methamphetamine and that it was hers.
The police searched the backpack, and they reported that they found a big plastic bag containing what they believed was meth. They additionally allegedly discovered small plastic bags, a scale, and several pipes. The police noted that the “substance and weight” were written on each of the baggies, and Pase’s name was on the scale.
Pase was taken into custody and transported to the Preston County Sheriff’s Office for suspicion of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver. She was incarcerated on a $10,000 bond.
Pase allegedly told the authorities that she deals drugs “to make a living because she cannot obtain a job.”
