Women at Convention said Gary Busey Touched Them Sexually

Actor Gary Busey is facing charges after several women accused him of inappropriately touching them during a meet-and-greet event at a horror convention in New Jersey.

Every year, the Doubletree Hotel in Cherry Hill, New Jersey hosts the Monster Mania Horror Convention.

This year, the event was held on the weekend of August 12.

78-year-old actor Gary Busey, who has been in several horror movies, was one of the many celebrity guests who were booked at the convention.

Meet-and-greets were organized so that the fans could interact with the stars and collect autographs. Busey was one of the actors who spent time meeting the guests.

According to reports, Busey was accused of sexual assault by three women who attended his meet-and-greet. One of the women said he grabbed her buttocks, and a second woman said he got uncomfortably close to her breasts before he asked her where she got them. She also said Busey attempted undoing her bra clasp.

The authorities were notified on Sunday about a third alleged victim who also reportedly had her butt grabbed.

Officers with the Cherry Hill Police Department went to the site of the convention to talk to Busey about the allegation.

Busey told the officers that the claims were untrue, and he reportedly wanted the officers to tell the girls that he was sorry. He said that the perceived inappropriate touching might have been accidental.

Busey was taken into custody on suspicion of two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact, one count of attempted criminal sexual contact, and one count of harassment.

It was reported that Busey believes the accusations are baseless and said the people who witnessed his contact with the alleged victims could confirm that he remained professional during his interactions with the fans.
